Saturday's story

I did my antibiotic thing Saturday morning. I am getting better at it, except for getting the air pockets out of each syringe (I use four per application). I usually spray the damn stuff all over the floor!

Amanda called from Keldon's kung fu class, wondering if I wanted to meet them at Archie's for lunch. A chance to get out of the house? Oh, hell yeah!!!

Pulling out on San Jose was a challenge. It was a sheet of ice! It took me two tries and the second one I made it to the road, but then slid across it into the townhouse driveway.

At the restaurant, Amanda had a cup of the French onion soup. I had a bowl and Keldon ate his usual mostaccioli off the kids menu. A decent hug in the lobby and a smooch and I went home.

Back at home, I took another nap.

When I woke up, I made some split pea and ham soup. Well, I tried. I sauteed the onions and celery, added in the dried split peas and a pound of ham. I added a box of chicken broth and water to that and set the timer for 90 minutes.

I went in the living room to read and promptly fell asleep again. I woke up to the smoke detectors and found I had burned up the whole soup. Maybe I should have gone to that rehab place, lol! I burned my right hand getting the pot off the fire.

So, I ate a bologna sandwich for dinner, instead.

I ordered an edible arrangement to be delivered on Sunday to the nurse's station at fourth floor north. I may be broke, but I still have class!

I went to bed after my nightly antibiotics dose and slept until 8:00 a.m. on Sunday morning.

  1. Very Nice edible (arrangement to the nurses) guess I just don't have any class

  2. LOL! I'm sure you do. Just not in expensive ways...
