It was 7:00 a.m. when I woke up. Unfortunately, the mess I left from yesterday's soup making was still there.
Sidebar: I was hoping elves or even Caley might have cleaned it up overnight!
But they didn't... So, I washed the big bowl, soaked the big stock pot and everything else went into the dishwasher. I turned the dishwasher on and then made some scrambled eggs for breakfast.
I shaved, showered and got dressed for a trip to Lowe's. I thought I'd wait until after 1:00 p.m. when it was supposed to hit 50 degrees. I ate some soup for lunch and then headed out.
At Lowe's, I probably looked at 100 six foot 1x4's to find the 27 straight ones I need. I loaded them in the truck and headed home. It looked like rain, so I skipped buying the plywood I needed.
Back home, I swept the garage out and set some boards on the floor to put the new boards on (if I drive in after it rains, the floor puddles up).
It was after 5:00 p.m. when I finished. I took both the trash and recyclable bins out to the road. Then I buttoned up everything for the night.
Back inside, I changed into shorts and a t-shirt. I sat in my chair with the trow on my lap. I also had the cat on my lap and the fireplace turned on. I read there until I got hungry, then I made a turkey sandwich.
After eating, I switched to reading in bed until I fell asleep.
