Monday

I took Monday off.

I did water the outside containers. I put the hose in the reflecting pool for an hour (the Japanese maple looks a little stressed). I got the broom and dustpan back inside.

I did not watch the solar eclipse outside. I didn't have the glasses, or a welding helmet or take the time to make the pinhole box. So, I watched it on TV instead. Cool!

Sidebar: We had a partial eclipse back when I worked at DAS in the late 80's. We all went outside and looked at it without any eye protection. So, I'm not sure about all these dire warnings.

I ate sloppy joes for lunch and the sausage and sauerkraut for dinner.

But other than that, I didn't do a damn thing except read and watch some TV. It had been an exhausting weekend.
