As I said in the last post, a very loud thunderstorm woke me up around 5:00 a.m. I tried, but it was too noisy to go back asleep. So, I filled in the Blog post. Then I sat on the couch and watched it rain.
I finally decided to go back to bed. Four hours of sleep was not enough!
I woke up at an amazing 9:30!
I made a cup of coffee and two of my free blueberry Eggo's for breakfast. Then I took my pills.
It was overcast and muggy, BTW.
I left for Home Depot around 12:30 p.m. I got everything on my list except for the plant hanger. I grabbed a hot dog on the way out for lunch and ate it in the truck.
By then, I was drenched with sweat. So, I changed into my shorts (forget the t-shirt) and went out back.
There was another half inch of rain in the gauge.
Then I began today's project: Straightening out the shed.
Note to self: Never, EVER, try straighenig out the shed (with no ventilation) on a hot, muggy day again!
It took me a couple of hours, but I got it done.
Back inside, I washed off the sweat with a wash cloth (should have taken a shower) and then took a nap.
When I woke up, I started dinner. I sauteed a diced onion in some butter and olive oil. Then I added in an eight ounce package of small-diced ham. I didn't realize just how much water there was in the package. So, I let that boil out.
I think that was my mistake...
I took half of the ham and onions out for another day and added in three whisked eggs. When the eggs had set, I topped it with two slices of American cheese.
But, when I went to flip my omelet in half, it had all stuck to the pan! It was a hot mess!!!
I should have added more butter before adding the eggs.
Sidebar: This is why there is no picture of the omelet.
But, it tasted good.
I watched Set It Off on the Centric channel and then some taped TV until the 11:00 p.m news. Then I went to bed.
You seem to really be liking the "free blueberry Eggo's"
