Monday, Grilling...

It was warm on Monday.

I got a chicken salad pita for lunch that I could not finish.

Amanda came to my work after she was finished at hers to check out a car Joe Pozniak had for sale. It's a Mazda 6 and she liked it. Joe said he'd have it running in two weeks (the timing chain broke) and she could take a test drive then.

Back home after work, I noticed the purple liliacs on the south side of the garage were out, as well as all of the lilies of the valley. One bunch of tulips are still hanging on as well.

I took the steak and brats out to come to room temperature. Then I got the charcoal lit.

After cutting it into 3/4 inch slices, I grilled the eggplant first, turning and basting it frequently. I grilled them about 10 minutes, until they were soft.

Looked like hell, but tasted good. Then I grilled the sweet corn.

Finally I grilled the steak and brats.

I ate a little of the steak, one ear of sweet corn and a slice of eggplant.

Sidebar: The eggplant was good, but I think I prefer it breaded and fried.

I watched TV until 10:00, put away the leftovers and then went to bed.
