It was gray and gloomy again on Wednesday. Oh, the sun did come out around 9:00 a.m. for about 10 minutes, but then it was swallowed up by clouds.

I went to Time Out for a quick lunch and then went to the Looney Bakery. I promised Courtney I'd smuggle her in a donut.

Sidebar: She's been in the hospital since Sunday night. It took them all this time to figure out the source of her acute stomach pain. Turns out she has a gall stone stuck in her bile duct. They are going to operate on her this afternoon.

She was sleeping when I got there. I asked Mike not to wake her up, but he did anyway. She was pretty drowsy form the pain meds, but insisted on giving me a hug. We chatted for a bit and then they came to prep her for surgery. I left and went back to work.

After work, I did the Wednesday night laundry. I ate more cabbage soup for dinner. I talked with Victoria for a long time (we normally text or email, so it was nice to hear her voice).

I went to bed just after 9:00 p.m.

  1. Did Courtney make it through her surgery okay?

  2. It was gray and gloomy again on Wednesday.

We have been pretty lucky here. No real winter and the chance of one is lessening the closer we get to March.

  3. You are lucky. Winter is kicking and screaming on it's way out up here.
