I drove to work through light rain again, Monday morning,

It was more like a mist by the time I went to lunch. I went to Ten Yen and got the almond chicken, with won ton soup and hot tea. Lunch was a long time coming, though. When the waitress brought it, she proudly asked me to take a bite It was really, really good. She explained it took so long as the cook had used a fresh chicken.

Sidebar: I was going to ask her just what they had been serving me before, but then thought better of it. I have learned the hard way that sarcastic coments are often misinterpreted by people to whom English is a second language, LOL!

But, as always, it was way too much food. So, I took the rest of it home in a take-out box.

The rain stopped in the afternoon, but the sun refused to come out (again!)

I stopped at the corner gas station and filled up the truck.

After getting home and changing, I stripped the bed and put the bedding in the washer. I should have done that on Sunday, but was too busy reading.

I watched the news until the washer shut off. I put the bedding into the dryer and went back to news watching.

I finally made the bed and ate the rest of my lunch for dinner, watching Jeopardy. Then I watched a taped show (Shark Tank, which Jake and Carla turned me onto). When that was over, I switched to reading until bedtime.

  1. She explained it took so long as the cook had used a fresh chicken.

Was that a one time thing or will it be fresh (or chicken) going forward?
