I slept in on Sunday. So, all my Sunday chores (wind the clock, water the plant, start the weekend wash, etc.) were also late. Which meant I didn't leave for my morning errands until after 1:00 p.m.

I went to Gordon Food Services and Kroger's. It was supposed to be 27 degrees, but it sure didn't feel like it! The wind in the parking lots was brutal. And the temps are supposed to fall all day and night as the next polar vortex moves through.

I left the truck outside to unload it. Which meant I had to walk in the deep snow, back and forth.

Everything out, I pulled the truck inside. But, before I shut the garage door, I put on the new license plate tab. I was going to put the other tab on the bike license plate, but I couldn't find it. What the hell did I do with it?

I put away the perishable food items. Since my shoes were already soaked, I went out back and refilled the feeders and put in a suet cake. Nothing was moving back there. I think the birds and squirrels are all hunkering down. Can't blame them! I went inside and hunkered down, too.

About 5:00 p.m., I made dinner. Nothing special, just hot dogs and a can of grillin' beans. I ate two hot dogs with yellow mustard and onions and about half the beans.

I watched the news until it ended. I checked the TV guide, but couldn't find a damn thing that sounded interesting. So, I spent the rest of the night watching various taped shows. My favorite was "A Medea Christmas." Not sure why, but Tyler Perry's humor is in sync with mine. I laughed my ass off.

Speaking of laughing, I had to laugh. I realized I hadn't see Caley in hours (she usually watches TV with me). So, I looked in the office (she likes to sleep in my chair). Nope. Hmmm... I finally found her, behind the end table, at the far right to the couch, sleeping next to the heat register! Smart cat!!!

Last thing I did before going to sleep was to open the cupboard doors under the sink (so the heat could get to the pipes on the outside wall) and open the tap a little in the utility sink downstairs so it could drip. Last thing I need is a frozen pipe.

Still think you should spend a day to reorganize the garage or maybe give/throw some things away. Can't believe that you're not able to navigate within the allotted space.

  2. Still haven't finished the back wall of the garage, so there are tools and "stuff" everywhere.
