It was an ozone action day on Thursday (high in the 90's and muggy).

I ate at the Newburgh Grill for lunch. I decided to treat myself with a coney and onion rings.

Five minutes before I left for home, it started pouring. I drove on the expressway with the wipers on high and it was still difficult to see!  But, it was just a pop-up shower and it was done by the time I got to Inkster and it never even rained at my house.

It was way too hot to work in the garage so I watered the container gardens, hanging plants, mailbox garden, etc., while the hose watered the vegetable garden.

My sister-in-law Coletta called with an update on my sister-in-law Jean.  When I got back inside and cooled off a bit, I called my brother Carl.

I ate two slices of the leftover quiche for dinner while I watched a special about the Olympics. Then I went to bed.

  1. Are ozone action days Michigan things? I feel like every day here would be an ozone action day.

  2. Probably. You're supposed to voluntarily limit using gasoline-powered things like lawn mowers or cars. And people with asthma are urges to stay indoors.
