Monday Moanin'

It was a little warmer on Monday, but still with low humidity and a nice breeze.

I went to Ten Yen for lunch, but this time I broke with tradition. I wasn't that hungry, so I ordered just a bowl of won ton soup and an egg roll. Perfect!

From there I went to Lowe's and bought four bags of mulch (I still had one at home in the shed). I don't know how many it will take to cover up the torn out tiger lilies, but its a start.

So, when I got home, I quickly changed and got to work. I got the wheelbarrow, a rake and the bag of mulch from the shed, along with a roll of black landscape fabric.

I put the landscape fabric down and held it in place with rocks. I had to cut it out around some of the plants.

Then I put down the mulch and spread it around with the rake. It looks like another three or four bags should do it!

In spite of the nice breeze, I was hot and sweaty when I finished up around 7:00 p.m.

I ate leftovers and then watched the Olympics until after 11:30 p.m.

  1. Won ton soup and an egg roll sounds delicious. I do miss their egg rolls.
