Thursday was perfect, weather-wise. I went to Time Out for lunch and got their mushroom Swiss burger.

From there I went to Lowe's. I picked up some long gutter nails (for the soaker hose) and two impulse buys (perennial plants). One the way back to work, I stopped and got the truck washed. It's not supposed to rain until next Wednesday or Thursday!

When I got home, I changed clothes and went outside. I used the blower to clean off the front porch, garage apron, both patios and the fire pit slab.

I tried several locations for my two new plants. When I had what I thought was the perfect places, I marked each one with a stone (I'm resting my shoulder until the weekend). I watered the two pots and put them in the garage.

Back inside, I warmed up my dinner. Vicky had brought me in some chicken with rice and pigeon peas. Delicious!

I couldn't find anything interesting on TV, so I read until bedtime.

  1. Could you please explain the nails for the hose?

  2. Well, you have to loop it around something. So, I like to use the long aluminum nails. They don't rust and they don't cut the hose. I'll post a picture when I install it.
