Finally Friday!!!

I woke up with the alarm on Friday, so there was no time for a big breakfast. Just a piece of toast eaten before my pills.

It was a beautiful sunny day, with an eventual high of 71 degrees. Way too nice to waste inside at work instead of outside, gardening!

Vicky and I met our dear friend Michelle at Bravo. It's an Italian restaurant on Haggerty, just past Six Mile, right between Mitchell's Fish Market and Claddagh's Irish Pub.

Sidebar: I am only saying that as that was Jake and Carla's old stomping grounds and they will know where I mean. I know the rest of you don't care...

I've never eaten there before, but the food was fantastic! I had the Chicken Milanese. Victoria had the chopped salad and a half order of the Pasta Woozie (seriously, that was what it was called, LOL) and Michelle had the Caesar salad and a half order of the BRAVO pasta.

Sidebar: Vicky and I usually share our food (it's a foodie thing) and we both agreed the Chicken Milanese and the Pasta Woozie were outstanding!

We said goodbye and Happy Mother's Day to Michelle and then fought the traffic to get back to work.

Sidebar: With the I-275 shutdown, both Haggerty and Newburgh are jammed (you sit through lights three times, etc.) Horrible!

We finally made it back, though. The problem was, after eating that rich food, all I wanted to do was take a nap...

But, I managed to stay awake until 5:00 p.m. and then headed home.

It was payday, so I spent some time online paying bills and wrote out two more checks to doctors.

I did go out front (eventually) and watered the newly planted mailbox garden.

Back inside, I warmed up the rest of last night's beans and ate them with butered bread for a quick supper.

I finally watched my taped NCIS and NCIS New Orleans shows, then I went to bed.

  1. That Haggerty/Newburgh area was never good for traffic. Imagine it's a complete mess now.

  2. Oh, trust me it is! And Newburgh isn't much better.
