It was cold here Wednesday morning, but the snow had stopped. I checked and we barely picked up two inches, here in Redford. But, when I left for work, my street was frozen snow over frozen ice and Plymouth Road wasn't much better. So, I crawled to work.

It never got over freezing, but the sun was out. That brightened my spirits. :)

I went to Big Boy and splurged on the "all you can eat" fried clams  I say "splurged" because you know me, I couldn't even finish the first plate. I ate all the clams, but left half the fried and two of the three hush puppies.

Sidebar: When I was in my mid-20's, I helped B___ remodel the old farmhouse they had bought in Adair. There was a restaurant in Port Huron (right at the end of I-94 where it stopped at Gratiot or whatever it's called up there). I can't remember the name, but I think the roof was red. It's long gone now, but they used to offer all you can eat fried clams. Together, we would eat our fill! We probably  forced the place to close!!! I love fried clams...

When I got home, I treated the damn cat and changed clothes. I painted the plywood it's second coat.
Then I tried cutting down one of the tiles with the band saw. That didn't work so good. I may have to rethink this method.

I did the Wednesday night wash. I was tired of leftovers, so I made some Hormel chili for dinner.

I watched a taped TV show and went to bed around 9:30 p.m.

  1. I was going to say that Beaver Creek in Westland had good fried clams but it appears they've since closed and reopened as something else. Been to the new place?

  2. No! Is that the place that served wild game?

  3. Yea... Wayne Road I think?
