In like a lion, out like a lamb...

...and I'm holding you to that, March!!!

It had snowed overnight and, according to the traffic reports on TV, the roads were a mess. So, I hustled.

I dragged the trashcan out to the road through the snow (less than an inch here, so far) and then headed out. But the roads weren't bad, just slushy.

I stopped at the St. Mary offsite lab and got more blood drawn. Nice nurse and she got it in one try! She was from India and I love their sing-song accents.

I kept checking outside and the weather reports. All hell was supposed to break loose, with freezing rain, then 3-6 inches of snow here (6-9 inches north of eight mile). But nothing was happening at noon. So, I went to the Newburgh Grill and got split pea soup and a patty melt for lunch.

It started raining about 2:00 p.m., but it wasn't freezing, just rain. Good, that will lower the snow amounts! But then, it started freezing around 4:00. Dammit!

It was snowing when I left work.

It took about five minutes when I left to scrape the ice off the windshield. I slowly made it to I-96 and then slowly made it home. I never got over 45 mph!

I was on Inkster and almost home when I was thinking about how difficult it was to scrape my windows, standing on the running board, when it hit me! How the hell was Vicky going to scrape the windows on her truck? And, why the hell didn't I go and scrape them for her?

I felt like an asshole, so I sent her a text, apologizing for my oversight when I got home. She replied after 8:00 p.m., telling me not to worry as she just opened her doors and stood inside the cab to reach the windshield. She also said she just got home!!!

My right shoulder was killing me from the scraping, so I took the night off. I ate leftovers for dinner and watched NCIS. Then I went to bed at 9:00 p.m. It was still snowing...

  1. It's hearing about days like these that make me think maybe living without coneys is OK.

  2. LMAO. You don't know what you're missing!!!
