I finally fell asleep on Wednesday and slept through the alarm! I barely made it to work by 8:00 a.m.! It was overcast and very windy at first, but the sun finally came out.
I went to Ruby Tuesday, just for something different. I haven't been there in years (B___ and I went there once or twice when he still worked here). All I remember was that they had an excellent salad bar.
And they still did! But, I didn't feel like a salad. It took a while, but I finally ordered a Buffalo chicken sandwich. It didn't come with bleu cheese dressing and the three large chicken tenders were topped with Swiss cheese (both of which I thought was weird). But the chicken was nicely spiced and it came with a nice side of fries. So, I had a delicious lunch.
The winds were still howling, but it was sunny, so I stopped and got the truck washed on the way back to work.
Just as I was pulling onto Market Street, it started to pour. I was soaked by the time I limped in from the truck (and it's the closest parking spot!)
It probably rained for less than a half hour and then the sun came back out. The combination of sun, 60 degrees and a LOT of wind in the afternoon dried the truck nicely. Other than some spots on the window glass, the truck looked perfect!
Back home, I didn't do much. I was too screwed up and hurting. I warmed the up last hot dog and the rest of the baked beans for dinner. I wtched a little TV and then tried to sleep around 9:00 a.m. It was still windy...
Haven't been to a Ruby Tuesday in a while. Last time I remember going they'd restyled everything to be "craft" this and that, so ketchup was in a modern square bowl and whatnot. I'll remember to check it out if I'm near one.
ReplyDeleteIt was a little more pricey than I remembered. And they did stack the three chicken tenders on top each other. But I solved that by eating one on the side and then eating the other two on the bun.
