Finally Friday!

It was clear and cold on Friday.

Michelle Pace couldn't make Lenore's birthday lunch yesterday, so she came in today and we did it all over again. This time, Fred joined us as well.

We went to Richards, a place I usually avoid like the plague! Why? Because a LOT of Spacely Sprocket employees go there. It's got good food and lots of it at a reasonable price. But, I go out to lunch to get away from work.

But, today, it worked out in all our favors.

I had the fish and chips with clam chowder soup. The soup wasn't as good as mine, but one of the better ones I've had lately. The fish and chips were decent, but not as good as Time Out (and Vicky said her fish had a lot of bones).

Sidebar: Vicky, Michelle and I had the fish and chips, Fred had a turkey sandwich with fries, Lenore got the perogies special and Jeff had a double cheeseburger with fries.

When we asked for our checks, the waitress said they had all been taken care of! WTF? Then Andy, our CFO, stopped by the table on his way out and we thanked him for paying our bills.

The afternoon passed slowly, but the sun warmed it up to 37 degrees by the time I left for home.

I treated the cat and changed into work clothes. Then I went out in the garage and cut down all the tiles. With the adjusted blade tension, this actually worked!!!

So, I laid the old and new tiles. Now, when I was checking out online information about using self-stick tiles on plywood, they all recommend rolling it afterwards with a 100 pound linoleum roller. Of course, I could rent one, but I couldn't lift one. So, I used my baking wood roller and tried to put my weight on it. Whether it was enough or not, I don't know, but all the tiles seem to be sticking.

I cleaned up and heated up the last of the chicken chop suey for dinner. I watched the movie "Cliff Hanger" that I had taped, then went to bed.
