Prilosec, Day Two

I took my new medicine on Wednesday morning, then I went to work. But the time I got there, my stomach was a wreck! This time it was gas. I couldn't stop burping.

I was afraid to eat lunch. My boss finally sent me home at 12:30 p.m.

By then my stomach was a hard as a rock! I called the Tri-county medical center. They were closed for lunch. I finally got through to a nurse and asked her if this was normal, should I maybe be taking a milder dose or even a different kind of medicine. She said she would leave a note for my doctor and he would call me back at the end of the day.

He must have been busy, because he never called.

I thought I should try and eat something, so I made some Campbell's chicken noodle soup. I ate about six spoonfuls before I threw it all up!

I kept drinking sips of water (to stay hydrated) and I did mange to take my pills without barfing them up (which is good).

I dozed of and on all day and night. My stomach finally stopped being so hard about 10:00 p.m.

  1. How does one know if their stomach is hard? I'm starting to worry.

  2. Because my pants were tight and my normal slightly (slightly) tummy was hard as a rock and hurt.
