It was down in the 30’s again on Monday morning. But it
warmed up nicely and we eventually got into the mid-60’s.
I went to the Newburgh Grill for lunch and decided to try
something different. So, I ordered the hot turkey sandwich. It came with mashed
potatoes and mixed veggies and way too much gravy. It was a hot mess (literally,
lol). I ate the whole sandwich, about half of the mashed potatoes and a few
bites of the mixed veggies before I was stuffed.
From there I went to Lowe’s and bought that one rebar and a
sponge I needed. Then I drove back to work through Hines Park to check out the
fall colors. We are still not a peak around here, but there were some gorgeous
trees.
Back home, it was warm, but windy. I pounded in the last rebar before going
inside. I changed clothes and went out back.
First I spread out the sand in the garden. There was a lot
more sand left than I first thought! I’ll let it sit all winter and then, next
spring, spade it up and work it in.
Next I fixed a bucket of warm water and Pine-Sol and washed
the kitty litter box with my new sponge. I also washed those warmer trays I
used to smoke things.
Back inside, I warmed up some more of the shrimp scampi for
dinner. I watched Jeopardy and some of The Voice and went to bed just after
9:00 p.m.
Why are you putting sand in the garden?
ReplyDeleteI agree with Carla, a little is fine, but half of the garden os to much
ReplyDeleteIn the interest of those attending your next BBQ, which did you wash first?
ReplyDelete@ Carla & GPF: It looks like a lot but, spread out, it's only about 3 inches thick. I will work it into the dirt and compost next spring.
ReplyDelete@ Jake: LMAO!!!
@Jake I was thinking the same thing, but didn't want to hear the answer
