It had rained a little overnight and stayed overcast for
most of the day.
I had the grilled chicken Caesar salad at Big Boy for lunch.
When I got home after work, I quickly changed and went
outside.
I took a couple of photos for my Brother Carl. The bush in
the old tree garden used to be in front, flanked by a hostas and a day lily.
Now, because of the fence, it is in the back of the garden and I’ll need to
plant some things in front of it. I dug all the dirt out between the tree and
the fence and used it to fill in the flagstone. I still need a few more rocks to line the fence side, though.
Then I weeded the last portion of the English garden. I used
my last four bags of mulch to cover it.
Sidebar: I’ll probably pick up another bag or two to fill in
spots as needed, BUT I AM DONE!!!
Inside, it was almost 7:30 p.m. I washed up and then made
dinner. I had picked up some cremini mushrooms and beef broth on Sunday, so I
recreated my spoiled mushroom gravy from Saturday.
I let the sirloin patties bath in it for a while and then plated
it with more wild rice. It was much better, LOL!
I was tired (I was tired when I woke up) so I went to bed at
9:00 p.m.
Every thing is really looking good. Next year you can add the bag or two of mulch.
ReplyDeleteGood point. I got my fall bulbs planted, the flagstone in, the mulch down and the fence up. I think I'm done for this year.
ReplyDeleteEverything looks wonderful. You really did a great job on the house. Go ahead and take the rest of the year off :)
ReplyDelete@ Carla: If only I could! :(
