Mid-week Update

It was warm again on Wednesday. In fact, when I checked the weather on my phone (still no TV), it was supposed to be warmer here than in Columbia, SC!

I went to Home Depot at lunch for some mulch. My boss had mentioned she saw an ad that claimed all mulch was four for $10.00, which is quite a deal. So, I loaded up eight bags and went to the checkout. Either my boss was mistaken or it was just at her Home Depot in Howell, because it cost me $36.00! Sigh…

I drowned my sorrows in two hot dogs at the other end of the store.

It was actually hot when I walked outside in the afternoon.

When I got home after work, I still had no TV so, I called Brighthouse. When I finally talked to a real person, she tried everything. But when I hung up a half hour later, I still have no channels; just an appointment to meet a tech here at the house tomorrow between 4:00 and 6:00 p.m.

I changed clothes and went out front. I’m starting with the garden next to the porch, BTW. I moved off the decorative rocks, did a little weeding and then laid down four bags of mulch. I took some pictures for you.

I quit mulching and moved to watering. I did the hanging plants and then put two gallons of water on all the transplants. It was getting dark when I finished.

I made myself a cucumber sandwich for dinner. I read a book in bed for a while but fell asleep early. When I woke up for a bathroom break, I turned off the lights and went to bed for real.

  1. The new mulch helped a lot in making the stone looks like it belongs there.

  2. Yes. I really like the look now. Just have a long way to go...
