I took the catnip I dug up Tuesday night into work on Thursday for my boss. But, she was sick today! So, I put them next to her desk.

I was going to a sale at Jos. A Banks, so I went to the Big Boy for lunch. I got a Slim Jim, but substituted the Caesar side salad for the fries I didn't need.

Then I went and bought some short sleeve shirts.

The afternoon dragged because I was really tired and my legs hurt.

But, it finally was 5:00 p.m. and I was headed home. I changed clothes and disassembled my new shirts. Then I washed them.

I went out front and watered the hanging plants on the porch (I keep forgetting about them).

I took the pound of ground chuck and the 1/2 pound of ground pork I had thawed out and made a meatloaf. While that was baking, I took the Yukon Gold potatoes I had boiled on Tuesday and sliced them up. I also sliced up half of a vidalia onion. I fried both in some butter and canola oil.

The meatloaf was too wet for a photo (I should have squeezed the bread I soaked in milk, more), but it was a delicious dinner.

I watched some taped TV shows, but sent to bed by 9:00 p.m.

  1. You are making me miss Big Boy. Jake and I went a couple of times and he always got the chocolate malt. I of course got the BLT and fries...yummy! Feel better Dad.

  2. LOL! Whenever we went, B___ always got the Big Boy burger and onion rings. I tried everything, and my favorite is the veal Parmesan with a Caesar salad. Their Caesar salad dressing is the best I've found, except for Red Lobster (and they have better croutons than Red Lobster).

  3. Nothing wrong with malts. The American Sugar Association says it's one of the five basic food groups. You add in some fries and have yourself one well-balanced meal.

  4. I actually like malts, but I doubt I've had one in 30 years.
