Then it was Tuesday.

Tuesday wasn’t as perfect a day weather-wise as Monday. It was a little hotter and a little more cloudy. But it was fine.

I rolled the trashcan out to the road before leaving for work.

I went to the Newburgh Grill for lunch. For a change, they had the ham and bean soup ready, so I got a cup of that with a patty melt.

I enjoyed both my morning and afternoon walks outside.

Back home, I fetched the trashcan and the lid and then went inside. I treated the cat and changed clothes. Then I went outside.

I decided to take Magaret’s advice and start the fall clean up. So, I pulled out the lawn tractor from the shed. I rolled out the lawn wagon and took it to the patio. I set the kitchen window flower box in it.

Then I rolled it out front and got the porch rail planter and the two flower pots. They all went out to the compost heap. The wagon and the empty planters went back into the shed.

I pulled the tractor back inside after leaving it warm up for a while (I just wanted to make sure the treated gas was in the carburetor and fuel lines).

Back inside, I warmed up three Coney dogs (I don’t have any sides, LOL).

I ate them while watching TV. Later, I went to bed.

  1. re: "I decided to take Magaret’s advice" do you ever take Carl's advice and leave the plants out tile the frost hits them? You should have another 6 weeks (at least) of beauty.

  2. Carl, I don't think her advice was based on how long they might yet last. It was more like, in six weeks what will the weather be like when you have to go out and deal with them. In that respect, yesterday's weather was perfect for working outside.
