Friday was a beautiful day, weather-wise. But, it dragged at work…

Once I got home, I quickly got outside. I went back to loading up the rest of the mulch on Jake’s patio and trucking it out front. I finally took the last wheelbarrow out front and spread it around with the rake.

I did notice that the mulch I had taken out on Thursday had already started to lighten in color, after only one day in the sun. I was relieved as the composting mulch has looked so black.

Then it was onto patio repair. I raked out all the leaves and scooped up all the dirt from the patio.

Then I got out the leaf blower and blew it off. Damn! Some of the big patio blocks had been broken by the Bob-Cat. I put everything back and dragged out the hose. I washed it off and was dismayed to learn the dirt we added (to fill in the Bob-Cat ruts) made the lawn higher than the old patio blocks. So, I ended up with a big puddle.

Hmmm… I’m gonna have to think about how to solve that!

I came inside and it was 8:30 p.m. I was hungry (and had a meal planned), but tired and didn’t feel like fussing with cooking. So, I cut up the last of the Pinconning cheese and a good chunk of the Genoa salami. I ate that with Triscuits watching a taped TV show.

Sidebar: I decided I don’t care for Genoa salami. It’s too fatty. And, this was Boar’s Head, so not a cheap sausage. Lesson learned.

It was supposed to go down to 50 degrees overnight, so about 9:30 p.m., I opened the bedroom window, turned off the TV and went to sleep.
