We never had the rain or fog Thursday morning, but it was
warmer when I woke up! For the first time in weeks, I left my hat and gloves at
home.
I walked that soup over to Michelle in the morning and we exchanged
our Christmas hugs. I went to the Newburgh Grille and had a patty melt for
lunch (all I have at home is soup).
I tried walking outside in the afternoon. It was above
freezing but there was too much ice left on the parking lot. The last thing I
wanted was a slip and fall, so went I back into the shop area for a safer stroll.
Back at home, I treated the cats and changed clothes. Then I
started cleaning house. I started with the walk-off rug in the garage. I tried
to use the wet-vac to clean it off and discovered the hose was plugged! I ended
up taking the hose off and running the small drain snake through it. It took
forever, but I eventually cleaned out a bunch of straw! Remember the “straw in
the trunk episode?”
I took a break to watch the half-hour Nightly News at 6:30 p.m. and
then got back to it. I probably had half the house done when I quit at 8:00. I warmed up some soup for dinner (what else) and made another side salad
to go with it.
I watched a taped TV show and then went to bed at 10:00 p.m.
