It was below freezing when I woke up on Monday. And, I woke
up an hour early. Curse you, Daylight Savings!
I raced home at lunch and cut the front lawn with the push mower.
I had to catch up on some of the weekend chores that were missed due to road trips
and/or rain! I had just enough time to make a turkey sandwich and eat half of
it (it was a big sandwich).
After work, it was just getting dark as I pulled in the
driveway. So, that means most outside work now has to be done on weekends, weather-permitting
(always iffy in Michigan in the fall).
I treated the cats and then took the trashcan out to the
road. Then I worked in the garage for a while, sorting and cleaning off the
last two shelves. I took that bag out to the road as well. I checked on the
book and… It worked!!! It was solid as a rock (well, solid as a block to wood).
Now I just need a few supplies!
I ate the last of Melissa’s corned beef and cabbage soup for
dinner, with the other half of that turkey sandwich.
I watched the hockey game until I fell asleep. I know I won’t
be able to stay up until 11:00 p.m. or sleep in until 5:30 a.m. for a week or
so… Curse you, Daylight Savings!
