Thursday was colder still, with a spritz of either rain or
wet snow during my afternoon walk.
I went to Home Depot at noon to get a couple of things for
the new project and some leaf bags. Now, you and I both know I don’t rake
leaves, but I need them, anyway. I had a couple of hot dogs at home for my lunch.
Back home after work, I treated the cats and changed my
shoes. Then I went out to the garage and started sorting out the items on the
two shelving units. Everything I wanted to save went on the workbench. Everything
that was trash went into a leaf bag. Each half-filled leaf bag will then go
into a garbage bag for the trash man. The thick leaf bag prevents sharp objects,
like pipes or wire or whatever, from puncturing the thin plastic garbage bag,
you see.
I quit at 6:30 p.m. so I could warm up and watch the Nightly
News.
Then I took the rest of the cold pot roast and cut off the
fat. I sliced it up (well, it mostly shredded itself) and put it in a bowl. I
topped that with a jar of beef gravy and mixed it all together. Then I spread
some of the mixture on top of two thick slices of that Italian Rustic bread. I
popped that in the microwave and two minutes later had an open face, hot roast
beef sandwich for dinner. Yummo!
I watched a very old crime movie, The French Connection.
Like another old movie, Bullet, it has a fantastic car chase. Then I went to
bed.
"The thick leaf bag prevents sharp objects, like pipes or wire or whatever," What about recycling these items? You see.
