It was supposed to rain later on Monday, so I went to Meijer’s
before work. I picked up more cat food and kitty litter, as well as some grape
tomatoes. I also got a couple of suet cakes for the birds. It’s supposed to get
much colder this week and I thought they might appreciate the protein.
I walked outside both in the morning and in the afternoon in
a light rain. I went home at lunch and added some of the tomatoes to the pasta
salad. I ate a bowl for lunch. Perfect!
Back at home after work after driving home in light rain, I
took the trashcan out to the road. Inside, I swapped out the kitty litter and
took the old stuff out to the road as well.
Then I went out back and put a suet cake into the cage. I
checked the rain gauge and, as I suspected, there wasn’t a lot (I told you it
was a “light” rain). But, I’m sure that it will help keep the new grass seed
damp enough to sprout. I sure hope it doesn’t need “warm” to sprout, LOL!
Back inside, I changed clothes. Then I made a cup of coffee
to warm up and washed the slow cooker. I set it in the sink to air-dry
overnight. I ate the last of the pasta salad for dinner.
I turned on the hockey game. It was an excellent game, BTW,
even though we lost in overtime. Very physical and fast!
I had some of that aged white cheddar, along with some
Triscuits and green olives for a snack later on. Damn that cheese was good!
I went to bed just after 10:30 p.m.
