Hump Day (Didn’t I just write this?)

As I mentioned in the last post, it was freaking cold here, overnight. I headed out early to work, so I could stop and fill up my gas tank and wished I'd worn a jacket.

At lunch, it was still cold, so I just went to Time Out. I got one of their daily specials, this time a chicken salad sandwich on pita bread with fries. Messy, but tasty! Afterward, I went to another favorite antique shop and browsed.

Because I didn’t sleep well Tuesday night, I spent the afternoon yawning and trying to stay awake (embarrassing).

It never really “warmed up” as it was only 69 degrees F when I got home after work.

I checked the computer, including my email and the Internet. I got a phone call from Carla and we chatted for a bit.

I put the tank and the seat back on the bike and took some photos for Facebook. I promised Stephanie and Tracey I would.

Speaking of Steph (the lady I made the clock for), she posted a very funny video about “What women think of during sex” on Facebook.  I thought it was hilarious, and shared it with my daughter, Melissa. Well, I thought I had just shared it with Missy, until my niece, Hannah commented on it. She helped me through getting it sent to ONLY Missy. So, any of you who read it and were offended, I apologize. My bad…

But, it was funny… If you are twisted…

I went outside and watered the newly sown grass. Then I got the tree lopper/trimmer out. I started walking around in the back cutting all the branches that hung low. But, there was something wrong with the blade so, after a while, it was just bending branches, not cutting through them. I got a hammer and a file and tried to straighten it out. It helped, but not enough.

I gave up and just went to the three big branches (two in back and one in front) that needed actual sawing. The big pine branch was hanging low enough that I had to duck while cutting the grass. And both the black walnut branches had grown into my pines. So, they all had to go! It took a lot longer (and a lot more muscle) than I thought it would, but I got ‘er done!

I put away the tree trimmer and locked the shed. I went into the house and it was well after 8:00 PM! I washed up and warmed up two hamburgers for my dinner.

I sat in the living room (remember my resolution?) and looked through a food magazine that came today. It was nice and warm under a light blanket and, naturally, I fell asleep. I woke up at 1:30 AM and went to bed.
