Friday was an absolutely gorgeous day here in Southeast
Michigan! It seemed we have finally returned to summer.
I went home at lunchtime, because I wanted to stop at Home
Depot. I was hoping to find a 1/2-inch nut driver so I didn’t have to put all
16 bolts in by hand. But, alas, I already have the biggest (7/16-inch) one they
make. Seems dumb…
When I got home, I treated cats, changed clothes and then
got to work. I positioned each caster where it could get the most amount of
wood possible and marked the spots with a Sharpie. Then I drilled them out and,
using a ratchet, extension and a 1/2-inch socket, bolted them on.
It took a while, and my butt was sore from sitting on an
upturned bucket for the bottom ones. It was either that or kneel and I don’t
kneel well.
Then I looked for my neighbor, but he wasn’t home. Ah, well.
I locked the casters so that when I tipped it up, it wouldn’t roll away on me
and picked the damn thing up.
Check “Baker’s Cart” off the ToDo list! All I need to do now
is clean out the corner where it goes, put away all the tools I used in
construction and then load it up!
But it was already 7:10 PM and I had other things to do
tonight. So, I went inside and washed up. Then I preheated the oven to 425
degrees and made six more of those egg cups. I only made six this time as, if
you remember, they said they will stay in the fridge for 3-4 days. That’s true
as on my fifth day, I got out the last two and there were black spots on them. I
threw them away, of course. But, I decided to make fewer of them from now on.
I watched some taped TV and then one of the shark week shows
on the National Geographic channel.
Sidebar: Why is there never anything on TV to watch Friday
and Saturday nights?
Then I went to bed.
Blue Blood on Friday Nights is great (reruns, of course)
