I woke up to the alarm on Monday morning. When I went out to
the car, I noticed it was covered in sawdust. Since I was leaving early, I
swung into the nearby quarter carwash and hosed it all off. I still got to work
15 minutes early.
I went to Meijer’s at lunch (instead of Home Depot, LOL). I
needed some kitty litter (garbage day is tomorrow) and picked up a couple big
bags of cat treats as well.
Back at work, it was just before my 3:00 PM walk when a
thunderstorm hit. So, I walked inside. We had several waves of storms after
that, but it was only sprinkling on my drive home.
I changed clothes and went out to check the rain gauge. It already
had over 1/2 inch of rain in it. I didn’t dump it though, as there is a good
chance of more storms before midnight.
One of the good things about these storms was that they
cooled the air down to 72 degrees, making working in the garage far nicer than
it has been. I took the garbage can out to the road, first, though.
I lost track of time and when I finished for the evening, I
came in and was shocked to see it was 8:30 PM! That was a little late to start
my eggplant, so I opened a can of Hormel chili and warmed that up for supper.
I didn’t have to take an evening shower for a change, so I
watched a couple of taped DIY shows while waiting for Longmire. Once that came
on and then finished, I went to bed.
