Monday Moanin’

Monday dawned cool and cloudy. It started raining just before noon (of course), so I drove home through light rain. I ate the rest of the chicken fried rice for lunch.

I had to walk inside in the afternoon and drove home in the rain at 5:00 PM. It was only 67 degrees F. at that time, with a north wind.

I worked in the garage after changing clothes. This time was a little different, as I had to wear a long-sleeved flannel shirt to feel comfortable. It was not stormy, just a steady all-day rain event. You gotta love Michigan weather (not)!

I quit at 7:30 PM. I noticed that the dirt and sawdust were making their way back inside the house, so I swept all the main areas of the floors with the electric sweeper. Then I took a rinse-off shower.

I ate a salad that had lettuce, hard-boiled eggs, cucumbers, tomatoes and grilled chicken. Michelle had bought it for her lunch, got busy and decided much later that she didn’t want it, so she had offered it to me for my dinner. I said yes, of course! It was pretty good, but I realized later I should have added some onions.

I was tired, but couldn’t sleep, so I watched Longmire at its usual time and then went to bed.

Sidebar: I checked the rain gauge Tuesday morning and I picked up another half inch of rain on Monday.
