Wednesday

I got the first good night's sleep I've had in ages and woke up at 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday. It was cold with a light snow (flurries, actually).

I called my barber just after 9:00 a.m. The earliest appointment she had today was at 11:30 a.m. but I took it. I headed out around 11:00 and finally got my overgrown hair cut.

Sidebar: My barber said I looked like a hippy, lol.

From there I stopped at Kroger's. My list had a combination of things I needed and things I wanted, but the recent weather changes have wreaked havoc on my arthritis. So, I concentrated on things I needed before my legs gave out.

Sidebar: Both my dear brother Carl and Amanda have urged me to use the little electric carts. Amanda had even offered to either go with me to help or just give her my list and she would go shopping for me. But I am not ready for those options just yet.

On the way home, I stopped at my Subway and got a foot long BMT (their version of an Italian sub). After I put the groceries away, I ate half of my sub for lunch. I cut up some strawberries, added some milk and ate that for dessert.

I spent most of the afternoon with my feet up, reading.

Amanda needed gas in her car, so she came up to my corner gas station while Keldon was in Kung Fu down the street. Since she was that close, she stopped in for a few moments, just to say high. I walked outside to say goodbye and was amazed at how warm it was (we hit 60 degrees in the afternoon).

I made some crinkle cut fries in the oven and ate them along with the other half of the sub for dinner.

I watched the 1937 movie "The Adventures of Robin Hood" with Errol Flynn on TCM. It ended at 10:00 p.m., so I turned the TV off and read until bedtime.
