Saturday's Story

Saturday's breakfast was oatmeal with no banana. I just couldn't bring myself to eat one.

I got back from the doctor's office around 10:30 a.m. I sent Vicky a text, letting her know I was home and changed my shirt.

The cat had barfed on the blanket on the bed. I got the chunks off and threw it into the washer.

Vicky and Evy picked me up around 11:00 a.m. and we headed out to Waterford to see our friend, Michelle Pace.

We got there in less than an hour. Michelle's mom let us in (Scott was at work). Michelle was sitting in a recliner, covered with a blanket. She gave each of us one of her famous hugs.

She said she was very sore, but otherwise doing okay. We sat and visited for a couple of hours. She was disappointed that Yanessa wasn't there, but Vicky explained it was Daniel's (her father) birthday and she was over there. Michelle suggested she bring her the next time and the three of them could go roller skating. I said I'd sit and watch...

We made out goodbyes (this time Michelle got up to hug each of us) and headed back out. There was some major construction on  south-bound Telegraph, but Vicky's handy GPS took us on a short detour and we avoided the worst of it.

We got to my house and, after more hugs, I went inside. I threw the blanket in the dryer and got in the truck. I ran over to CVS to get my prescription.

Since I was out anyway and hungry, I stopped in at Arby's and got a buffalo chicken sandwich meal.

I ate that watching more of the Olympics. It was delicious, but somewhat messy.

The rest of the day I spent reading and half-watching the Olympics.

Since I had eaten lunch so late, I wasn't hungry until about 9:00 p.m. I didn't bother making anything, I just ate two hard boiled eggs with some horseradish.

Since I missed my nap, I went to bed at 11:30 p.m.
