I woke up just after 7:30 a.m. on Thursday. I watched the Today Show until I got hungry. Then I made scrambled eggs, topped with ketchup for breakfast.

I took a picture of the snow out the back door and finished the Blog post.

I decided I would take my shower after I did the driveway. So, I put on my hunting long johns (too big), gloves and hat and went out to try it.

Three things I learned:

1. B___ was right (You have no idea how much it pains me to say that). I should have done it in two stages. It was really hard to push the damn thing through eight inches of snow (even if it was light). And, the front of the driveway (here a snow plow went by and blocked me in was especially tough.

2. The extension cord was so cold, it was hard to deal with. So, when I finished, I took it inside where it will stay for the winter.

3. I could not push it all the way to the gravel driveway or it threw recks onto the lawn.

But, I got it done at the expense of my back. I should have spent the extra money to get a self-propelled one!

When it was done, so was I. After shaving and showering, I spent the rest of the day in bed, reading.

I made a tuna fish sandwich (with raw onions) for lunch and ate a can of Wolf chili for dinner.

I went to bed around midnight.
