Tueday's errands

I woke up early again on Tuesday. I wonder when my body will catch up to the Daylight Saving Time change?

It was cold outside (in the high 30's) so I ate some waffles for breakfast and drank two cups of coffee. Then I threw some clothes on and took the trash out to the road.

Sidebar: There were only three kitchen bags in the trash can, which doesn't quite fill it halfway. I was going to just leave it until next week, but there is food waste in it and I don't want to tempt the wild critters.

I left the recyclables container in the back. It only had junk mail in it.

Then I took a shower after shaving and dressed in town clothes for an errand run. First stop was the barbers for a 9:00 a.m. haircut.

Next came Kroger's. I was a bit disappointed as several items on my list were not there (like Purina cat food - what grocery store runs out of cat food?). Then I stopped at Westborn for more grated Parmesan cheese. Final stop was CVS to get a passport photo. These days, you have to not only take off your coat (I get that) but also my glasses. Since I have my glasses on anytime I am awake, I don't get that.

Before I went home, I got the truck washed. It's supposed to stay sunny (but cold) for the next few days and it was looking pretty bad.

I left the truck outside again to unload it. Then I locked it, still outside.

I put away the grocery's and stuff  after treating the cat. I made a sandwich at ate that watching the local news. Then I changed into work clothes and went out to work in the garage. It was still damn cold!!!

I made it through two hours of sanding and scraping before I gave up. I pulled the trashcan back to Jake's patio.

Back inside, I took a rinse-off shower and got dressed in shorts and a t-shirt. I laid down on the bed and watched DIY shows (to rest my legs and to warm up.

When I got hungry, I scrounged leftovers along with cracking open a tub of large curd cottage cheese.

I watched my two NCIS shows and the 11:00 p.m. news and then went to bed.
