Monday, monday...

The overnight rain (remnants of Hurricane Nate) was just ending when I woke up on Monday. I had some oatmeal for breakfast and eased into the day.

It was supposed to get warm in the afternoon so, after watching the news until it got repetitive, I did inside stuff (running the dishwasher, doing a load of clothes, etc.)

I shaved, showered and got dressed in work shorts and t-shirt.

I started to draw the correct layout for the cradle rockers. The board was still sticky in places, but the glob and drip of pine tar was gone. I hung up the clothes when the dryer shut off. I put away the clean dishes when the dishwasher was done.

But there was a problem!

Another of my dinner plates that I bought long ago cracked in half (it had a visible crack in it for a year or so). So, I only have four left from the original eight. All the cups, saucers and bowls are fine, but I rarely use them. The plates I use on a daily basis.

So, I changed into going to town clothes. I went to Target and bought four dinner plates (they are blue/green with a crackled finish and edged in white). Don't ask me why. My old set was white. I just thought they were pretty.

Next, I stopped at Office Depot. The toner in my printer is just about gone (I keep shaking it so it will still print - but even that isn't working much anymore). Fortunately, they had what I needed. Unfortunately, it cost $99.00! 😦

Sidebar: I have no idea how to put it in the printer. So, I'll have to find the owner's guide or Google it.

On the way back home, I stopped at the gas station and bought more Cope and Altoids.

I treated the cat, changed clothes, took the sticker off the back of the new plates and hand-washed them. I let them air dry in the dish rack.

I had a sandwich for lunch while I watched some taped DIY shows.

After lunch, I went out and cut out the first rocker with the jig saw. It's pretty rough, (it always is) but I know from experience I can make it pretty with the belt and oscillating sanders.

It was hot in the garage, BTW. Watching the news, I learned we hit an amazing (for October) 80 degrees today!

I warmed up a bowl on pasta for my dinner. I was quite full, so I postponed dessert again.

I watched a movie that got over at 10:00 p.m., so then I cut a piece of pie, topped it with ice cream and finally ate dessert. Yummo!!!

I watched the 11:00 p.m. news and the Tonight Show monologue and then went to bed.
