Finally Friday

I woke up at 5:30 a.m. on Friday. It had rained overnight and, according to the news, there was more to come.

Sidebar: Glad I got the outside work done on Thursday!

I ate two waffles for breakfast and took my pills. Then I shaved, showered and got dressed for town.

It was lightly sprinkling, BTW. In fact, it sprinkled throughout the whole trip. First stop was the Kroger gas station on Ford Road to fill up the truck tank.

Then I took Ford Road all the way to Newburgh and went to Lowe's for more sandpaper (I found a gift card, LOL!)

Since I was that far west, I stopped at Time out and got a mushroom and Swiss burger with fries. Both owners shook my hand and said I should come in more often.

I left the truck outside. It finally dawned on me I had used wrong pattern for cradle rockers (I used the ones for the little rocking horse). They are too long for the cradle so no sense sanding anymore.

Instead, I rested on the bed for a bit. Then I pulled down the attic stairs. I got the last four cabinet doors up and out of sight.

More resting my legs for a bit.

Then I used the step ladder to drill holes for installing new smoke detector. I tried to screw the mounting plate on and just two of the three holes were in the right spot! But it held and seemed secure, so Put put the smoke detector up and tested it! Bingo!

I pulled the truck back inside and had to treat Caley (again!).

I ate dinner at 6:30 p.m. The last chicken leg and (you guessed it) macaroni salad.

Sidebar: Fortunately, that was the last of the macaroni salad!

I watched the news and then taped shows. I kept dozing off and had to rewind (LOL) them. But I got enough sleep in those little naps that I was able to watch the entire Tonight show. I went to bed for real at 12:30 a.m.
