Tuesday's Tale

I woke up to the alarm on Tuesday, so I could take the trash out to the road.

Sidebar: Now that I have that new big trashcan, I think I'm going to start taking it out Monday night. That sucker's big enough I doubt a racoon or a cat could knock it over.

Health-wise, I think I'm doing better. Still plagued with diarrhea, but no more throwing up. But I am very weak. For example, after taking the trash out to the road (Note: trashcan has big wheels and was only half full) I had to lay down for about a half hour to rest. Same with showering (and I have a shower chair); I had to rest after my shower as well. This is ridiculous!

I ate some apple sauce for breakfast.

I called the barber at 9:00 a.m. (I'm two weeks overdue and very shaggy) and lucked out. She had a 9:30 appointment open. So, I got dressed, grabbed my grocery list and headed out.

Sidebar: I think I forget to mention that, after missed my last two appointments, my barber called me to see if I was okay. I thought that was nice and I thanked her for that.

I had planned on going to Kroger's, but I was exhausted after my haircut. So, I thought about it and realized I could do without milk, bread, eggs, sour cream, etc. All I really needed was (of course) toilet paper, lol.

So, I stopped at CVS  and picked some up. I made an impulse buy of a six-pack of Ensure.

Sidebar: After my spinal, my doctor had me drink that stuff for a month or two to build up my strength. I thought it might help in this situation.

Back home, I laid down for a while after changing clothes. Then I ate the rest of the rice for lunch.

In the afternoon, I went back outside and fetched in the trashcan and the mail. It was a balmy 76 degrees, so I sat on the front porch for a while.

For dinner, I made wide egg noodles with butter, salt and parsley flakes.

Sidebar: I am trying to make and eat bland foods.

It was very good and I ate more than I thought I could.

I watched TV but made it an early bedtime.
