Saturday's Story

I woke up 20 minutes after the alarm went off at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. so I overslept a little. I ate some oatmeal with my morning pills and the shaved, showered and got dressed. So, I was ready when Amanda called at 10:00 a.m. to say they were on the way.

I said goodbye to Caley and hopped in her car (she likes to drive. I don't).

Sidebar: There are only, like, five people in the world I am not afraid of being a passenger with: Jake, Carla, Amanda, Vicky and B___. Everyone else and I am constantly freaking out and grabbing the dashboard, LOL!

We got to the Suburban Showplace in Novi. For the first time, I remembered my handicap sticker, so we got a good, close parking space. The line was small and we were in in no time. All the animals were inside and the smell hit you as you walked in the door. It took me back to my Dad's dairy barn, LOL, and was not unpleasant to me.

There were goats, sheep, pigs, rabbits, chickens and, of course, dairy cows.

We walked the entire space. My legs were giving out, so in self defense, I suggested we get some lunch. Keldon had nachos and cheese, Amanda got a small order of mac & cheese and I got a big, warm soft pretzel. I ate about half of the pretzel and gave the rest to Keldon (that kid can eat, LOL!)

Sidebar: Amanda said the mac & cheese tasted like shit. It looked like they just dumped the nacho cheese on top of elbow macaroni. So, I told her to pitch it and she eventually did.

Then we went outside to the carnival area. Now, whatever pass Amanda bought for Keldon allowed him to go on most rides. And he did. Meanwhile, I tried to find benches to sit on. My legs were trashed (should have brought my rolling walker).
