It was raining on the way into work on Thursday.
Vicky and her mother, Evy, came to work at lunch time. I hopped in her truck and we drove up to St. Mary's to visit Courtney.
Courtney was 100% better than she was on my visit yesterday. They removed two gall stones and she was no longer on dilaudid. So, she was much more alert (perky, even). She's still on a liquid diet, but, if the blood work she is going to have this afternoon is good, she'll be going home tonight.
We stayed there the whole hour and then they drove me back to work. They offered to stop and pick me up something to eat, (they said they had a big breakfast) but I told them I'd be fine.
After they left, I just drove up to Time Out and got a bowl of soup (navy bean and ham).
Vicky called me about an hour later and asked again if they could get me something (they had been shopping at JoAnn Fabrics). I laughed and said I'd already eaten, but thanks for caring. She said she just didn't want me passing out or something.
Back at home, I putzed around. I got a text from Courtney, saying she was home.
I ate the rest of the chicken and rice dish for dinner.
I watched some taped shows, but was again in bed by 9:00 p.m.
