They said on the news that the temperature would be just above freezing to the rain we were getting all night wouldn't freeze here. That wasn't quite true, as I learned the hard way taking the trashcan out to the road, Tuesday morning.
Then I drove into work, slipping and sliding. But, I made it without breaking anything on either me or the truck.
I was unlocking the door to work when there was a huge clap of thunder and lightning lit up the sky. The rain came down like buckets and I was soaked before I could get in the building.
I wasn't feeling all that great (my sinuses throbbed all day).
I did go to the Newburgh Grill and got a bowl of bean and ham soup for lunch. It was still damp and dreary, so I drove right back to work. I was supposed to get a light bulb for the garage door opener, but it can wait.
I retrieved the trashcan and buttoned up the house for the night.
I washed the two loads of laundry I should have done over the weekend,
I watched NCIS, read from 9:00 to 10:00 p.m. (not that impressed with "Bull") and then watched NCIS New Orleans. Then I went to bed.
