It was slightly snowing on the way into work on Friday. I noticed when I was pulling out the roof was coated, but not the grass.
That light snow continued on and off all day.
My boss informed me that Janet (our director) was buying lunch for everyone today. It was fried chicken and sides from Lee's chicken in Plymouth.
Sidebar: I don't know if this is a chain, but its a little tiny place in Plymouth, Michigan (I've been there) and it has the best damn fried chicken I ever tasted. Seriously. Forget the Kentucky Fried, forget Popeye's (love the sides, though - closest I can get to Puerto Rican red beans and rice without involving Victoria's family). The chicken is just OUTSTANDING!!!
But, I begged off. I did say if there was anything left, I'd take it home for dinner.
It wouldn't be the start of the weekend without my fish and chips at Time Out. So, that's where I went.
I never did see any leftover chicken, BTW.
It was a payday, so when I got home I paid some bill and balanced the books. Then I made up my grocery list, etc.
I went to bed around 9:00 again.
