Back to Work...

I went back to work on Tuesday, after enjoying the time off. It was only 70 degrees at that time of the morning, but it was already very muggy.

After eating lunch at Applebee's (the three cheese chicken pasta and French onion soup) I went to Lowe's. Now my brother Carl's Lowe's may have everything half off, but my Lowe's just had sale prices. Carl said he paid $12.00 for a $24.00 hydrangeas. My store had the $24 plant on sale for $16.

Still, they were beautiful and I did buy two.

I managed to get them in the cab of the truck (they are both about three feet tall) so, on the way back to work, the truck smelled fantastic! What a lovely scent!!!

Just standing in line outside took its toll, though. I was drenched with sweat and I'm pretty sure my deodorant failed.

The afternoon passed slowly. I walked inside (it was 94 degrees outside with 87% humidity).

When I got home, I treated the cat and changed into shorts and a t-shirt. Then I went out to plant.

Somewhere between the digging, and hauling water, I decided planting one would be enough for today. So, I finished putting the mulch back and took a photo for you.

Back inside, I took a rinse-off shower. Then I ate the other two pieces of pizza and the rest of the cucumber salad for dinner.

I watched a rerun of NCIS and then went to bed.

  2. Both are the Strawberry Sundae. It was the only variety they had left. And, no, the price was right.

  5. What was that big goofy plant we had by the pool? Was that a hydrangea? Looks similar.
