Finally Friday!

It was another lovely day in Michigan on Friday!

Sidebar: They would be wearing long-johns and shivering in South Carolina, but I'll take a sunny, 68 degree day, any day!

Before I left for work, I cut more lilacs and took them in. They are starting to die off, so this is probably the last time I can perfume the room.

Sidebar: that was fun to say out loud, LOL!

We had a major meltdown of our phone system today. We are in the middle of transitioning from the old Avaya phones to, building by building, VOIP phones. But, today, the Avaya phones couldn't call the VOIP phones and vice-versa.

Also, Courtney came in, sick as a dog! I asked her why she was here and she said, after taking two days off last week (no daycare) she couldn't afford staying home. I get that.

Sidebar: As much as I understand her position, I will be really pissed if I get sick before I go on my short vacation! Stay home, sickies!!!

Unfortunately, this was the day we were all going to have lunch at Los Tres Amigos to say goodbye to Damion. He was a tech at Building 3 and then moved to a Business Analyst at Building 4. But, he got a better (managerial) job, nearer to his house with more money.

Courtney finally gave in and went at home at 11:00 a.m. All the managers, the telecom guys, our Director and the PM on the project camped out in my office and said they couldn't make the luncheon.

I took Vicky and went to the restaurant. I knew Michelle (my old cubicle buddy) was coming but I didn't know Michelle from Facilities would also be there! So, I got a lot of hugs!

Sidebar: Riley didn't hug me, but maybe he's shy in front of other people.

The last time I was there, I got the luncheon special: an enchilada, beans and Mexican rice. Afterwards, I was still hungry. So, this time I got the #12 combination: two enchiladas, beans and Mexican rice. This time I was stuffed!!!

The gang was still there when I got back (sigh). They had ordered pizza and worked through lunch.

The afternoon was busy, which helped make it pass quickly.

There were two slices of Happy's pizza left, so I took them home with me.

I worked on the computer for an hour or so. Then I went outside.

Sidebar: I had noticed that my kitchen window was dingy when I looked out of it. Normally, I use the Windex product that hooks to your hose to do the outside in the Spring. But, now, I already have the window box planter up. So, I hosed the rear windows down with just water.

Back inside, I washed the inside windows with Windex. 100% better!!!

I made a small side salad and ate that with the pizza for dinner.

Again, there was nothing interesting on TV. So, I went on Netflix and watched an episode of Hercule Poirot. Then I went to bed.
