Rainy Thursday

It was cool on Thursday morning. I checked the weather and they said spotty showers in the morning for southeast Michigan, with heavy rain moving in around 3-4:00 p.m. Upper lower and all of the upper penisula are under a winter storm warning, BTW.

It started raining hard around 10:00 a.m. and never really stopped.

I had a couple errands to run at lunch time. Fortunately, I wore my rain coat. Unfortunately, it didn't matter. By the time I got in and out of the car a couple of times and then went to Ten Yen, I was soaked! The hot tea helped, though.

My boss sent us all home at 4:00 p.m., which was nice. But it was a slow go on the expressway, due to the rain.

Once home and changed, I started a load of laundry (I missed the Wednesday night wash).

I checked out back and the lake was starting to form again. I didn't see the ducks, but their flight might have been grounded.

I did some online stuff and then baked a frozen pizza for my dinner. I ate about half of it (my bad) while watching the Red Wings game. They beat the Montreal Canadians 4-3!

I watched the 11:00 p.m. news and found we had a record official rainfall of 1 1/2 inches at Metro (other areas got two inches of rain. Up north they got a foot of snow or more! I shook my head and went to bed.

  1. That's a lot of rain. Good thing it was warm.

  2. Yeah, they said if it was snow it would have been over 12 inches!!!
