What Day Is It???

(Where’s the freakin camel when you need him?)

It was supposed to be warmer than normal and dry today, so I didn’t bother with a coat. I regretted that on my morning walk!

I went to Time Out and got an Italian sausage sandwich and a bowl of beef and beans soup (instead of fries). While both were good, they also both were a little more spicy than I prefer.

From there I went to Lowe’s and got two furnace filters. I was behind the curve on this chore, as I was supposed to replace them on November 1st, according to my kitchen calendar.

Back home after work, I left the truck outside. I treated the damn cat, changed clothes and started the Wednesday night wash. Then I went out in the garage and spent an hour or so cutting out wood pieces with the saber saw.

I tried to blow off my clothes when I was done, but there was still sawdust on them when I stripped and I couldn’t stop sneezing. I should have worn one of my sanding masks, I guess.

I put the clothes in the dryer and watched the end of the Nightly News. Then I warmed up another pork chop and some summer squash.

When the furnace had stopped, I gave it a few moments to cool off and replaced the filters.

I had to laugh. Courtney sent me a photo of Aiden eating his first rutabagas. You should have seen his face! It was not a “Damn, I love these peas!” face. Not even close…

I watched a taped show until the Red Wings came on. They were in New York tonight, battling the New York Rangers. If they play as badly as they did last night, I’m gonna turn them off and watch Honey Boo Boo or something!

Fortunately, it was one of the better hickey games I’ve watched. We lost, but no shame…

I turned it off and went to bed.
