Before we move on from Saturday's storm, I must tell you this. As I said, to me, it didn't sound as bad as Friday night's thunderstorm. As I wasn't all that coherent, one thing did bother me was this incessant wailing noise. It was very hard to fall back asleep. When I mentioned this to my friend B___ on Sunday, he said, "You *ss! That was the tornado warning!" Apparently tornados were moving through Wayne County (where I live) and one touched down in Dundee.
Lu was still sleeping when I got up at 7:30 AM (that straight-through drive can really tire you out). So, I went and shaved and showered. Just out of curiosity, I got on the scales. I lost over 10 pounds in this past week! I AM the biggest loser!! But, hey, people have been saying that about me for years...
I sat and read on the couch until she got up.
She had her morning tea and I made a cup of that coffee. I could only drink about 1/2 cup. I was finally starting to get hungry again, so I made myself some scrambled eggs. Delicious! I ate all of it with no ill effect.
We mainly sat in the living room, either talking or reading.
It was a weird day, weather-wise. It would be sunny for a while, then cloud up and rain, then switch back to sunny.
About 1:00PM, I was really getting tired. But, I didn't want to take a nap, because I needed to sleep all night and go to work. So, I excused myself and lay on the bed to read. Whenever I felt the urge to sleep, I'd get up and walk around a bit. I did that until after 5:00 PM and felt much better. After that, it was more talking and reading.
About 7:00 PM, Lu said she was hungry and was going to make herself a salad. Did I want any? I thought salad might be a bit rough. She suggested rice. I thought that might be too bland. So, I made up some Uncle Ben's Wild Rice (a personal favorite).
I normally eat half of it at two separate meals. But this time I could only eat about a quarter. I went to bed at 9:00 PM (missing all my Sunday night shows) and read until about 10:30 PM, when I turned the light off.
