I was pleasantly surprised when I looked outside Tuesday morning and saw no snow. I was less pleased to learn I just had the day wrong. It's supposed to snow tonight (not last night) and they have changed it now to a predicted 2-4 inches of snow...
I took back the broken gift at lunch and got a replacement (this time I inspected it in the store before I left). Since I was down that way anyway, I stopped in at Lowe's and picked up a tool I need for the shower project.
The snow had just started when I headed home at 5:00 PM. It was light, but steady. By the time I got home (20 minutes or so) the hard surfaces where all white, but the grass was still sticking up amidst the snow.
I changed my clothes after treating the cats. I went through the mail and got two more Christmas cards. That makes six so far...
Sidebar: This is strictly IT (Information Technology, Mom) humor, but I checked out back to see the amount of snowfall so far (I am not lying, this actually happened). I noticed the suet cage was empty and the bird seed container almost gone and I said to my self: "Damn!" Then I remarked, again to myself, "Hey, this is only Tuesday, we are not scheduled for an upgrade until Wednesday night."
Which is apparently how I judge things, these days...
Bu 7:00 PM, the snow is really coming down. I had put the new jogging/exercise shorts and tops in the washer and then in the dryer.
I put the pot with the Sauerkraut, Kielbasa and potatoes back onto simmer. When I looked outside at 7:30 PM, the grass had disappeared and white was everywhere!
I ate dinner and then went to watch some TV. I turned it off at 10:00 PM and went to bed.
"I had put the new jogging/exercise shorts. . .
