Late Night Observation...

What the heck happened to baby strollers?

When my kids were small, a baby stroller (it had a specific name that I have since forgotten) looked like a two handled umbrella. It opened up with thin aluminum pieces running down to four double wheels and a cheap, flexible plastic seat. It had a mickey mouse, half inch seat belt strap that, while it wouldn't save your baby if you hit a crack or went off the curb, it would hold them in place long enough so they would land face down on the concrete.

But, I have noticed these days, strollers are now these HUGE elaborate "systems" about four feet long, some of which you can remove the "pod" the baby is in and take them into a restaurant, or use it as a car seat.

Women of America, be warned! This is just a trick by the auto makers to force you to buy the gas guzzling SUVs! These and minivans are the only vehicles large enough to transport these strollers!!

They were actually called "umbrella stollers!" And yes, that's what I used as well, you know, back in the day... :)
