I volunteered to make dinner tonight (one of Carla's favorites) but they have to look at another house after work, so I had some free time when I got home.
I got my two-month water bill (the one I dreaded) and for May and June, it was 5 times more than I paid for March and April! Now, I really dread the next one, as July was when I really had to water twice a week. A green-painted cement lawn and plastic flowers is starting to look like a pretty good idea!
So, Jake and Carla got home around 7:15 PM and I started dinner. I took three catfish fillets, dredged them in flour, then an egg and milk mix and finally coated them in cornmeal and house seasoning. I fried them in about � inch of Canola oil. I made a wild rice mixture and the broccoli cheese dish I've been raving about for the sides. Excellent, if I do say so myself!
After cleanup, we went out separate ways. I watched a little TV, then fell asleep. I woke up at 1:30 AM and could not fall asleep until 3:30 AM. My room felt "stuffy" as it was too hot outside to open the window, even at 3:30.
